JEE Advanced 2020 cancelled in foreign centres

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi through a notification on its official website announced that JEE Advanced 2020 will not be conducted in foreign centres. As per the notification the decision was taken by the authorities keeping in view the current restrictions imposed on foreign travel and visa issuance. All eligible foreign candidates who will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced will be allowed to select their choice of exam cities from India during registration.

Due to the prevailing situation of COVID-19, JEE Advanced 2020 exam date has already been postponed twice by the authorities. However, now the exam has been scheduled to be conducted on September 27, 2020. Registration for the same will begin soon after JEE Main 2020 is conducted.  

The authority has also revised the admission criteria for JEE Advanced 2020 due partial cancellation of exams by various boards due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As per the revised eligibility criteria, qualified candidates who have passed class 12 examinations will now be eligible for admissions irrespective of marks obtained. Earlier, score either minimum 75 per cent marks in class 12 board exams or rank among the top 20 percentile in their qualifying examinations apart from qualifying the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Advanced

JEE Advanced is conducted every year to provide admissions at IIT to eligible candidates. To be eligible to appear for the examination, the candidates need to be among the top 2,50,000 qualified candidates in JEE Main Exam
