Joint Entrance Exam (Advanced) 2020 or JEE (Advanced) exams which are conducted in order to grant admission into all the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other premier institutes will take place on August 23, 2020. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister made this announcement through a Video conference via his official Twitter handle. 
 
JEE Advanced 2020 will be conducted by the IIT Delhi this year. Earlier, the exam was supposed to take place on May 17, 2020. It got postponed due to the lockdown imposed owing to the Coronavirus pandemic threat. The Minister also asked the students to follow all the safety procedures as stated by the Ministry of Ayush as well as the Ministry of Health. He also made a request to the students that they should download the Arogya Setu app in their respective Smartphones. 
 
Students who make it to the list of top 2.5 lakh in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) exam will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced. The JEE (Mains) 2020 is slated to take place from July 18 to July 23, 2020. The result for the same is expected during the first week of August. Around 20 percent of the seats are reserved for girls.
