IGNOU four new online courses for July 2019 session

IGNOU likely to start four new online courses from July 2019 session –The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is planning to start four new online programs from the upcoming session of July 2019. Currently, the varsity has recognized 85 online courses in total. The vice chancellor of the varsity, Professor Nageshwar Rao, has stated that they are waiting for the approval of UGC to start these four programs i.e. Certificate in Tourism Studies, Certificate in Food Safety, MA in Hindi and one more certificate program.

A lot of other universities have also given the proposal to the University Grants Commission (UGC) like IGNOU.

The varsity has dedicated center for online education and it has identified a total of 85 online courses in all the different degree level, which includes 46 certificate courses at undergraduate/postgraduate level, 22 diploma courses at graduate/postgraduate level, 2 undergraduate level courses and 6 postgraduate level courses. Four refresher courses have also been provided by the IGNOU.  All of these courses will be launched online and the candidates who are desirous to go for these courses must visit the official website of IGNOU for more detailed information.

Moreover, the varsity has made required plans for the initiation of the courses such as conversion of the regular courses to the online mode, recognizing e-counsellors and evaluators along with the capacity building of the faculty have already begun.

IGNOU had online courses around the year 2011 which are discontinued.
