Registration deadline for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 extended
GATE 2024 Registration deadline – Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru has extended the Registration deadline for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024. The last date to apply without late fees has been extended till October 12, 2023 and with late fees till October 20, 2023. Candidates those who are yet to apply for GATE 2024 can do so through the official website: gate2024.iisc.ac.in. Initially the last date to apply for the exam was September 29, 2023.
The application correction window will open from November 7 to 11, 2023. Applicants will be able to make corrections if any in their online application forms during this period. The admit card for the same will be available on January 3, 2024.
The GATE 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on February 3, 4, 10 and 11, 2023 in two sessions each day. It will be a fully computer-based test (CBT). The forenoon session will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm and the afternoon session will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The GATE 2024 Results are expected to be announced on March 16, 2024. The score obtained will remain valid for a period of three years from the date of announcement of results.
Steps to Apply for GATE 2O24
- Log on to the official website of GATE 2024
- On the homepage, under the “GATE 2024 ONLINE APPLICATION” tab, click on, “Apply Online”
- Enter all the required details
- Pay the application fee and click on submit
There will be a total of 30 papers in GATE 2024. New test paper on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA) has been introduced. Candidates may choose to appear in a maximum of two subjects. Candidates will be allowed to select the second paper only from the set paper combination list.
The GATE papers will test the comprehensive understanding of the students in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts. GATE score can be used to seek admission with possible financial assistance to Masters programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, and Humanities in institutions supported by MoE and other Government agencies. Several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) also use GATE score for recruitment.
