Answer Key for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 released

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has released the answer key for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 along with question papers on the official website gate.iitb.ac.in. All those candidates who have appeared for GATE 2021 can check the answer key and can raise objections if any on the provisional answer key released. 

The Objection window will be active on GOAPS portal from March 2 to March 4, 2021. Candidates are required to pay fee of Rs 500 for every challenge, however, they will have to attach a proof to justify their claim

The official notification reads, “During 2nd to 4th March 2021, candidates can challenge the answer keys with detailed description and proof by paying 500 per question on the GOAPS portal using their own login credentials like previous years. Please note that the question number and answer key/range to be mentioned in the challenge portal of GOAPS MUST be of the published ones given here and NOT that of the response sheet of the candidate.”

Final answer keys would be released only after considering all the objections. GATE 2021 results are expected to be released on March 22, 2022 on the basis of the final answer keys.

Steps to Check GATE 2021 Answer key

  • Step 1: Visit the official website aapsgate.iitb.ac.in
  • Step 2: Click on the ‘answer key’ link
  • Step 3: The question papers and answer keys will be displayed on the screen
  • Step 4: Download the answer key and corresponding questions paper in PDF format.

Steps to raise objections

  • Step 1: Visit the website- gate.iitb.ac.in
  • Step 2: Click on the answer key objection link
  • Step 3: Log-in using credentials
  • Step 4: Click on the question you think is wrong, write argument, attach supporting documents
  • Step 5: Make payment of objection fee
  • Step 6: Submit
  • Step 7: Download, take a print out for further reference.

GATE 2021 was conducted on February 6, 7, 13, 14 as scheduled, with additional days on 5 and 12 to ensure safety measures due to Covid-19 pandemic. GATE is conducted for admission to MTech programs offered at IITs, IISc and several other institutes
