The Consortium of NLUs postpones Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 and extends registration deadline

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has postponed the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 until further notice due to the surge of COVID-19 pandemic in the country. Earlier, the exam was scheduled for June 13, 2021.  

The consortium has also extended the registration deadline to June 15, 2021.  Earlier the last date for registration for CLAT 2021 was May 15, 2021. 

The decision was taken after a meeting of the executive committee of the consortium on May 15, 2021.

The official notification reads, “The Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities met on May 15, 2021. After reviewing the surge of COVID-19 pandemic in the country and keeping in view the health and safety of all stakeholders of CLAT, the Committee resolved that the CLAT-2021 scheduled to be held on June 13, 2021 stands postponed. New date of the Test will be notified in due course,” 

CLAT is conducted for admission to Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate Degree (PG) Programs in Law for the academic session 2021 in Twenty-One (21) National Law Universities of India.
