CLAT 2020 new exam date announced, to be held on August 22 via online, center-based mechanism

Consortium of National Law Universities has released the revised exam date for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2020. As per the notification the Exam will be held on August 22, 2020 via Online, Centre-based mechanism. The Exam was earlier scheduled to be held on May 10 but was postponed to May 24 and further to June 21, 2020.

Candidates interested to appear for CLAT 2020 may register for the exam till July 10, 2020. All registered candidates shall select or reconfirm their test centers, withdraw their registration by July 10, 2020. 

In case the candidates withdraw from CLAT 2020, their application fee shall be refunded after a deduction of INR 400 for SC/ST candidates and INR 500 for all other candidates towards processing charges. Refunds will be made by July 18, 2020.

The detailed guideline in respect of conducting the computer-based, online, centre-based mechanism for CLAT 2020 will be issued by the Consortium to help the candidates prepared for the examination. The Consortium will also conduct mock tests for all those candidates who have registered for the exam to build familiarity with the test application and interface. 

CLAT is conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs offered by 22 top national law universities.
