NEET PG 2022 Exam Postponed

The Union Health Ministry on Friday has released the notification and announced the postponement of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-PG) for post-graduate medical courses by six to eight weeks which was scheduled for March 12, 2022. As per the notification the ministry has postponed the exam on the appeals made by MBBS students.

The Health Ministry has announced the postponement of exam ahead of Supreme Court hearing on a petition filed on January 25 by six students who contended that many MBBS graduates will not be able to appear for NEET-PG due to non-completion of the mandatory internship period due to delays in the final exams for MBBS because of pandemic.

In an order issued by the director of health services on Thursday reads, “I am directed to say that lot of representations were being received from medical doctors regarding request to delay NEET-PG-2022 examination date i.e. 12.03.22 as published in Information Bulletin by NBE since it is clashing with the NEET PG 2021 counselling. Also, many of the interns would not be able to participate in the PG Counselling 2022 by the month of May 2022. Keeping the above facts in view, the minister has taken the decision to postpone NEET PG 2022 by 6-8 weeks or suitably.”
