NLU Delhi to conduct AILET 2020 in Remote Proctored Mode

The National Law University (NLU) Delhi has released the revised date for All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2020. As per the notification, the Exam will be conducted in the “Remote Proctored Mode on August 18, 2020. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be held on May 3, 2020, but was postponed due to COVID-19 Pandemic. The last date to fill the application for AILET 2020 has also been extended up to July 7, 2020.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will provide detailed information and guidelines to the aspirants of AILET 2020 and will conduct two webinars and one mock test to familiarize the candidates with the RPT mode of Examination. 

NLU has also released the new reservation policy in view of orders passed by Hon’ble Delhi High Court.  As per the new reservation policy, residents of Delhi, Other Backward Castes and Economically Weaker sections now do not come under reservation category for admission to NLU Delhi for the academic session 2020-21. In consequence, the original seat matrix has been rolled back for three programs – five-year BA-LLB, one-year LLM and PhD.

The notification also mentions that, the already-registered candidates, can withdraw their AILET application forms for admission to BA LLB, LLM and Phd programs in view of the changes in the reservation policy, seat matrix and mode of examination. The withdrawal window will remain active between July 1 and July 7.
