Exam Date for All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XVI announced

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced the exam date for All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XVI 2021 exam and has also extended the registration deadline for the same. As per the notification released on the official website, the exam will be held on October 24, 2021

The application window for the same will be opened till September 15, 2021. Candidates who have not applied yet for AIBE XVI can visit the official website allindiabarexamination.com to register for the examination. 

Initially the registration process was to be closed on March 31, 2021 which was extended till April 30, then was extended till July 15 and has now been further extended.

The official notification reads, “the next All India Bar Examination (AIBE-XVI) will be held on 24th October, 2021. The date for registration for AIBE-16 is extended till 15th Sep, 2021 and the Payment date is extended till 20th Sep, 2021.”  

Steps to Apply for AIBE XVI

  • Step 1: Visit the official website: aibe16.allindiabarexamination.com
  • Step 2: Create an account and register yourself
  • Step 3: Fill in the details such as name, contact details, educational qualification
  • Step 4: Pay registration fee
  • Step 5: Submit Application form

AIBE is a national-level law examination to examine an advocate’s capability to practice the profession of law in India. Law graduates or students in their final year or final semester can appear in the exam. After passing the examination, candidates will be awarded a “Certificate of Practice” by the Bar Council of India which enables them to practice in a court of law in India. 

All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is no longer an open book exam.  No books, notes or study material will be allowed in the examination hall during AIBE XVI exam. Candidates can only carry Bare Acts without notes.
