Last Date to Register for All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XV extended

Bar Council of India has extended the last date for All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XV registration process till August 31, 2020. The Examination which was scheduled to be held on August 16, 2020 also stands postponed. The revised date for the AIBE XV 2020 is yet to be announced by the council.

Candidates who are interested to appear for the exam but have not yet applied for it can now do so at the official website: allindiabarexamination.com till August 31, 2020. 

The notification on the official website reads – “As per the resolution dated 29.7.2020, keeping in view the present pandemic situation and frequent lockdown, increasing number of corona patients daily, the Council has resolved to postpone the All India Bar Examination to be held on 16.8.2020 and it has further resolved to extend the date of receipt of applications from candidates till 31.8.2020 (for the present). The date of examination and other schedules are to be considered and decided by the Monitoring Committee for A.I.B.E.”

All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is an open-book eligibility to examine an advocate’s capability to practice the profession of law in India. The AIBE will assess skills at a basic level, and is intended to set a minimum benchmark to the practice of law. After passing the examination, candidate are awarded the “Certificate of Practice” by the Bar Council of India.
