AFCAT (I) 2023 – Indian Air Force has begun the application process for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 1/2023 at the official website – for the courses commencing in January 2024 for grant of Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent/ Short Service Commission in Technical and Ground Duty Branches. Online applications are also invited for grant of PC/SSC for NCC Special Entry Scheme (For flying branch).
As per the notification the application process for AFCAT 1/2023 will conclude on December 30, 2022. Interested candidates can visit the official website to apply for AFCAT 2023. Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 250. Candidates registering for NCC Special entry are not required to pay the fee.


Steps to apply for AFCAT 01/2023

  • Go to the official website: 
  • Click on ‘Candidate Login’ – ‘AFCAT 01/2023’.
  • Then go to ‘New Registration’ and then create your profile.
  • Type your details in the application form, upload your documents and then pay the application fee.
  • Submit the form and then take a printout for future reference.


Through this recruitment drive IAF aims to fill 258 commissioned officers. Candidates selected for Flying and Ground duty (Technical) branches will have to undergo74 weeks training and Ground duty (Non-Technical) Branches will go for 52 weeks training at Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad).
