Bangalore University Distance Education Admissions 2019: Applications are invited for admission to various courses of First year UG & PG, and Diploma, & Certificate Courses through Correspondence and Open University Scheme under Distance Education for the academic year 2019

 

Bangalore University Distance Education Admission 2019 Important Dates

  • Last Date for obtaining the application form (without fine): 3rd week of October 2019
  • Last Date for obtaining the application form (with Fine of Rs.200/-): 4th week of October 2019
  • Last Date for Submission of filled application form with all enclosures: 2nd week of November 2019

Courses Offered & Eligibility Criteria Bangalore University Distance Education Admission 2019

Admission to the following Courses of Undergraduate/Postgraduate and Diploma under Correspondence Course and Open University Scheme under Distance Education.

Bangalore University Correspondence Courses (UG)

B.A. (Kannada/English Medium), B.Com (English Medium), BBM (English Medium)

  • Duration: 3 years
  • Eligibility: Pass in Pre-University Examination of Karnataka or any equivalent examination there to (10+2 pattern)

Correspondence (PG) Admissions

M.A. (Kannada, English, Hindi, Telugu, Urdu)

  • Duration: 2 years
  • Eligibility: B.A./B.Sc/B.Com degree of any recognized university or equivalent degree there to with 55% of marks in the language concerned under Part-I or 50% of marks in the concerned optional or who have passed examination in Kannada Rathna or Pandit Examination for M.A. in Kannada, in Rashtra Bhasha Visharada examination of Dakshina Bhatrath Hindi Prachara Sabha or any other examination considered as equivalent there to for M.A. in Hindi shall be eligible for registration to Master’s degree course

M.A. (History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology (Kannada/English Medium)

  • Duration: 2 years
  • Eligibility: B.A. degree of any recognized university or equivalent degree there to with 40% of marks in the aggregate of the optional subjects and at least 50% of marks in the concerned optional or major subjects of the course

M.A. (Philosophy) (English Medium)

  • Duration: 2 years
  • b Any bachelor degree of any recognized university or equivalent degree there to with Philosophy, Logic, Ethics, Religion, Theology, Aesthetics, Yoga or Sanskrit as one of the optional subjects and atleast 50% marks in the concerned optional subject or those with a degree in Arts or Science minimum 50% of marks aggregate of optional are also eligible

M.Com (English Medium)

  • Duration: 2 years
  • Eligibility: B.Com degree examination of any recognized university or equivalent degree there to securing not less than 50% marks in the aggregate in Commerce subjects in all the examinations of the B.Com degree course

M.Sc. (Mathematics) (English Medium)

  • Duration: 2 years
  • Eligibility: B.Sc. degree of any recognized university or equivalent degree there to securing not less than 40% marks in the aggregate in optional subjects and 50% marks in the Mathematics (candidates who have passed Mathematics as minor or subsidiary subjects are not eligible)

M.A. (Sanskrit)

  • Duration: 2 years
  • Eligibility: B.A./B.Com/B.Sc degree of any recognized university or equivalent degree there to with 55% of marks in language concerned under Part-I or those who have passed B.A./B.Sc/B.Com degree examination and who have passed Sahitya examination shall be eligible for Registration to Master’s degree in Sanskrit

M.A. (French)

  • Duration: 2 years
  • Eligibility: B.A. French or B.A./B.Sc/B.Com with French as second language of any recognized university and with minimum of 55% of aggregate marks or B.A./B.Sc/B.Com of Bangalore University or any other university recognized as equivalent there to with Diploma of Superior of the Alliance Franchise in any other recognized institution

Open University Courses

B.A. (Kannada/English), B.Com (English Medium)

  • Duration: 3 years
  • Eligibility: No educational qualification is prescribed

Post Graduate Diploma Courses: Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Marketing Management, Rural Management

  • Duration: 1 year
  • Eligibility: For all these courses any degree of recognized university or equivalent degree there to securing not less than 40% of marks in aggregate including languages
  • Degree of recognized university with 50% marks
  • Any degree of recognized university with Hindi as subject at the degree level or any degree with pass in Rashtra Basha Visharadha or any other equivalent examinations recognized there to

  • Admission application can download website www.dccbub.in and submitted online by making the online payment of Rs.550/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST students) in the University’s Savings Bank Account No.: 6406251218, State Bank of Mysore, Nagarabhavi Branch or Current Account No.: 917020020468197, Axix Bank, Rajajinagar Branch
  • Applications can also be obtained from the Office of Directorate of Correspondence Courses and Distance Education (DCC & DE), Jnanabharati Campus, Bangalore University, Bengaluru-560056 by remitting Rs.550/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST students) by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Bengaluru-560056
  • Candidates desirous of obtaining the application along with Prospectus by Post, shall send a self-addressed envelope 30cm x 25cm size, addressed to “Director, Directorate of Correspondence Courses and Distance Education, Jnanabharathi Campus, Bangalore University, Bengaluru-560056 affixing postal stamps worth Rs.200/- along with a demand draft of Rs.550/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST students) drawn in favour “Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Bengaluru-560056. Such request shall reach the sender well before the due date
  • Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected
  • The eligible candidates will be informed through e-mail/SMS
