SSC JE Recruitment 2024 – The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification and invites online application for the recruitment to the posts of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) for Organizations/Offices of the Government of India. SSC has announced to fill 968 Vacancies for the Junior Engineer position. The Staff Selection Commission will hold an open competitive examination for the recruitment of Junior Engineers.

Eligibility Criteria
- Junior Engineer (Civil): CPWD – B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
- Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical): Central Water Commission – B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
- Junior Engineer (Electrical): CPWD – B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Department of Posts – B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
- Junior Engineer (Electrical): Department of Posts- B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Electrical engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
- Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical): MES – B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering OR 3 years Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute and with 2 years work experience in electrical/mechanical engineering works.
- Junior Engineer (Civil): MES – B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering OR 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute and with 2 years work experience in civil engineering works.
- Junior Engineer (QS&C): MES – B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognized University/Institute OR Passed Intermediate examination in Building and Quantity Surveying (Sub Divisional-II) from the Institute of Surveyors (India).
Age Limit
- The age limit fixed to the post of 968 Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) through Staff Selection Commission (SSC), as on 01st August 2024, age relaxation as per rules
- Minimum – 18 years
- Maximum – 30 years
- SC/ ST – 5 years
- OBC – 3 years
- PwD (Unreserved/EWS) – 10 years
- PwD (OBC) – 13 years
- PwD (SC/ ST) – 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM) – 3 years
- Defence Personnel disabled in operation (Unreserved/EWS/OBC) – 3 years
- Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof (SC/ ST) – 8 years
Application Process
- Eligible candidates are required to be submitted in online mode only at SSC Official website ssc.nic.in
- All the candidates who wish to apply in response to this Notice and have not generated their One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website https://ssc.gov.in will be required to do so as the earlier OTR generated on the old website (https://ssc.nic.in) will not be functional for the new website. Subsequent to OTR, the candidates can proceed to fill the application for the examination
- Once an OTR has been generated on the new website, it will continue to remain valid for all the examinations to be applied for on the new website. The detailed instructions for OTR are given in Annexure-III to this Notice.
- Applications must be submitted only in online mode on the official website of the SSC (Headquarters) i.e., https://ssc.gov.in. For detailed instructions, please refer to Annexure-III and Annexure-IV of this Notice. Sample proforma of Onetime Registration and online Application Forms are attached as Annexure-IIIA and Annexure-IVA
SSC JE 2024 Application Fee
- Candidates can either pay the application fees online (through Credit, Debit Cards, UPI, and Net Banking) or Offline (through SBI Branch Challan)
- General/OBC Candidates – Rs. 100/-
- SC/ST/PwD/Female Candidates – NIL
Selection Process
- The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announced the SSC Junior Engineer (JE) selection process through its official notification. The SSC JE 2024 Selection process is done in three phases:
- Stage 1: SSC JE 2024 Paper 1 Exam
- Stage 2: SSC JE 2024 Paper 2 Exam
- Stage 3: SSC JE 2024 Document Verification
- To clear the SSC JE 2024, applicants need to clear every one of the three phases
