Eligibility Criteria for North Central Railway Recruitment 2019

Educational qualification: 

  • For Station master and Goods guard: Degree from recognized university or its equivalent.
  • For Assistant Loco pilot (Elect/Mech.): Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Armature and Coil Winder / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic / Fitter / Heat Engine / Instrument Mechanic / Machinist / Mechanic Diesel / Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Millwright Maintenance Mechanic / Mechanic Radio & TV / Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic / Tractor Mechanic / Turner / Wireman (OR) Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above (OR) B) 3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering (OR) Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of ITI.
  • Note: Degree in the Engineering disciplines as above will also be acceptable in lieu of a Diploma in Engineering.
  • For Sr. Clerk cum typist: Degree from recognized university or its equivalent. Typing proficiency 40 w.p.m in English or 35 w.p.m in Hindi on computer is essential.
  • For Sr. Commercial cum ticket clerk: Degree from recognized university or its equivalent.
  • For Commercial cum ticket clerk: 12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC / ST / Persons with Benchmark Disability / Ex servicemen and candidates who possess qualifications higher than 12th (+2 stage).
  • For Jr. clerk cum typist: 12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC / ST / Persons with Benchmark Disability / Ex – servicemen and candidates who possess qualifications higher than 12th (+2 Stage). Typing proficiency 40 w.p.m. in English or 35 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer is essential.
  • For Trains clerk:12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC / ST / Persons with Benchmark Disability / Ex- servicemen and candidates who possess qualifications higher than 12th (+2 Stage).          
  • For Jr. Translator (Rajbhasha: (i) Master’s Degree of a recognised University or equivalent in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at Degree level; OR Master’s Degree of a recognised University or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi or English medium and English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at Degree level; OR Master’s Degree of a recognised University or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subjects of either of the two as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at Degree level.AND Recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English and vice – versa or 2 -years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice -versa in Central or State Government offices, including Government of India Undertaking. JE/Mech workshop: Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Manufacturing / Mechatronics / Industrial / Machining / Instrumentation & Control / Tools & Machining / Tools & Die Making / Automobile / Production Engineering OR (b) a combination of any substream of basic streams of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Manufacturing / Mechatronics / Industrial / Machining / Instrumentation & Control / Tools & Machining / Tools & Die Making / Automobile / Production Engineering from a recognised University/ Institute.
  • For JE/Electrical/design drawing and estimation:Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering OR 
  • (b) a combination of any substream of basic streams of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering from a recognised University/ Institute. 
  • For JE/Track Machine: Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation & Control Engineering OR (b) a combination of any substream of basic streams of Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation & Control Engineering from a recognized University / Institute.
  • For Tech-III/C&W (Mech): Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Fitter / Carpenter / Welder / Plumber / Pipe Fitter (OR) Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above.
  • For Tech-III/Track Machine: Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Fitter / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic / Instrument Mechanic / Mechanic Mechatronics / Mechanic Diesel / Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Welder / Machinist (OR) Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above.

Age limit:

  • The upper age limit will be 42 years for General candidates, 45 years for OBC candidates and 47 years for SC/ST candidates. The age will be reckoned as on 01.01.2020.

  • Candidates can apply online through the official website www.rrcald.org. After clicking on it finds the advertisement for the post you want to apply for. Fill the online application form correctly before the last date of application.
  • Steps to be followed while registering the ONLINE Application. Once data is saved and application is submitted, no data can be changed.
  • Click on the “GDCE ONLINE/ E-Application” Link.
  • Click on the “New Registration”
  • Fill up the basic details i.e Name, Community, DOB, Employee ID, Mobile No., Email ID
  • Candidate will get Registration Number and a message of the same will also be sent on registered mobile no and email id. Candidate should save the registration number for any future reference or to login again.
  • Candidate Dashboard will appear for filling up Personal details.
  • Fill up the Personal details. Save & continue.
  • Fill up the Employment details. Save & continue.
  • Fill up the Education Qualification details. Save & continue.
  • Upload the required documents. Save & continue.
  • Fill up the preference for different categories. Save & continue.
  • Save & Continue for Preview & submission of application. Once application is submitted, no data can be changed.
  • Take printout of Annexure-1and upload the same after signature of the Controlling officer/ Personnel Officer/Supervisor where required in the form.
  • A printout of the application should be taken for future reference
