The Full form of WWE is World Wrestling Entertainment. WWE was formerly known as World Wrestling Federation (WWF). It is an integrated media and entertainment company of America that deals in professional wrestling. The headquarters of WWE is in Stamford, Connecticut, United States. It was founded by Toots Mondt and Jess McMahon in 1952 as Capitol Wrestling Corporation (CWC). Its name was changed many times over the years since it was established, from World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) to World Wrestling Federation (WWF) to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

It has featured various major and iconic wrestling matches in the past. Today, the entertainment industry is airing various high-profile programs such as SmackDown, Raw and Wrestlemania in more than 150 countries worldwide. It has launched the 24/7 streaming network in 2014 to showcase the entire WWF library. WWE shows are not legitimate contests as in other professional wrestling promotions, but it is purely based on entertainment Performance Theater, featuring scripted, storyline-driven, and choreographed matches.

The matches played in WWE often include moves that can put wrestlers or performers at risk of injury, and even death if the stunts are not performed correctly. This was first publicly acknowledged in 1989 by WWE’s owner Vince McMahon who retains a forty two percent ownership of the company’s outstanding stock and eighty three percent of the voting power.
