The Full form of PGDCA is Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application. PGDCA is a 1-year post-graduate diploma in the field of computer science. The course is usually comprised of two semesters, each of six months duration. This course is offered by various UGC recognized colleges and universities in India. The course covers the basic fundamentals of computer science. It comprises programming languages like C++, Java, and packages like web designing, system analysis, Tally, Oracle-VB, data processing, Ms-Dos, and Windows OS, etc.
A candidate having a graduate degree in any field of study is eligible for this course. The aim of this course is to provide specialized training in the field of computer science and develop professional, technical, and communication skills in the students. After completing the PGDCA course, the students can get employment in IT companies, the health industry, the banking sector, the entertainment sector, etc.
