NMIMS Full Form
The Full form of NMIMS is Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. NMIMS is a deemed university located in Vile Parle, Mumbai (India). In 1981, with the help of a donation from Narsee Monjee Educational Trust, the Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal, established a recognized Management institute of the Mumbai University in order to meet the growing demand for management education. Since then NMIMS has grown into a flourishing and multi disciplinary University, offering courses / programs across various disciplines, such as Management, Business Economics, Technology, Science, Pharmacy, Architecture, Law, Aviation, Liberal Arts, Design & Distance Learning. The University has campuses at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Indore, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Shirpur. NMIMS began its journey by offering a masters degree program in management studies, a course of the University of Mumbai with an intake of only 40 students and 4 full time faculties and today the University has over 12000 students and more than 513 faculty members. As per UGC Norms, SVKM’s NMIMS University, one of the premier Universities of Higher Studies in India, has completed 36 years of its existence in the year 2017-18.
