NIC Full Form
The Full form of NIC is National Informatics Centre. It is the premier science & technology organisation of Union Government of India in informatics services and information and communication technology (ICT) applications. The NIC was established in 1976 and it is part of the Indian Ministry of Electronics and IT Department of Electronics & Information Technology. NIC is headquartered in New Delhi and has offices in all 29 state capitals and 7 union-territory headquarters and in almost all districts. It plays a pivotal role in handling e-governance applications in the governmental departments at national, state and district levels, enabling the improvement in, and a wider transparency of, government services. Almost all websites of the Indian-government are developed and managed by NIC.
