The Full form of MSc is Master of Science. MSc is a postgraduate level programme offered in many colleges and universities in India. It is a postgraduate degree awarded in the field of science. This master’s degree programme provides advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in a range of specialised Science fields – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Nursing, and many more. The duration of an MSc programme is usually of two years in India. However, the duration of the programme might change depending on the MSc specialisation selected by candidates and the policy of the respective college or university. Usually, there is no age limit to join the course. Basic educational qualification or eligibility for pursuing an MSc course requires students to be graduates from a recognised college with a minimum cutoff percentage (as stated by respective college/ university) preferably in Science stream.
