KMB Full Form – Kotak Mahindra Bank or KMB as the name suggests, is an Indian banking chain established not only throughout India but also internationally. KMB is the third largest private banking sector. It is headquartered in Mumbai, India. It was founded 19 years ago, in February 2003. KMB’s name came from KMB’s founder, Uday Kotak. However, KMB opened up in 1985. It received its banking licence in February 2003. KMB also ranked 245th among 500 top banks in a study published in the Banker magazine in February 2014. KMB has mergers and acquisitions as well. In 2015, KMB acquired ING Vysya Bank in a deal of 150 billion rupees, whose group ING Group owned 7% of share in KMB. Then in 2021, KMB acquired a 9.99% stake in Ferbine, an organisation promoted by Tata Group, to operate a retail paying system. KMB provides every type of banking facility. Not only this but it has also done great things for the society, like in 2020, it donated 50 crore rupees to the PM CARES Fund to fight against the Covid-19 virus in India.
