The Full form of IPCC is Integrated Professional Competence Course. IPCC is the 2nd level course or 2nd stage of Chartered Accountancy (CA) course. This course is conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The course can be attempted by any student/candidate who has passed the first level Common Proficiency Test exams and the intermediate (10+2) examination and has completed 9 months of study or by a graduate who has scored minimum prescribed marks.

After the successful completion of this course, a candidate is eligible for the final course of CA (Chartered Accountancy). If a candidate appears for this exam, he must clear the Chartered Accountancy Common Proficiency Test (CA CPT). It is an examination conducted after the completion of the course. This examination is known as Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE). It comprises theoretical exams and practical training. IPCC examination consists of 7 papers which are divided into two groups – Group I (four subjects) and Group II (three subjects).

All of these subjects are related to the profession of Accountancy. The Group I Papers consists of subjects as Accounting, Law, Ethics and Communication, Cost Accounting and Financial Management, and Taxation. The subjects in Group II Papers are Advanced Accounting, Auditing and Assurance, and Information Technology and Strategic Management.
