The Full form of HSC is Higher Secondary School Certificate. It is also known as HSSC. HSC is a public examination taken by students of Intermediate College in Bangladesh, Pakistan and in the states of Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Punjab, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal and Goa in India. The structure of the examination differs from board to board like CBSE Board, ISC Board, UP board, MP board, Maharashtra Board, Bihar Board etc. After the successful completion of Matriculation, the students are enrolled for Higher Secondary Examination. The Higher Secondary School Certificate is subdivided in two categories, i.e.; Science and Non-Science Program. The most common subjects in the HSC exam are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, History, Geography, Accounting, Business Studies, English, Agriculture etc. In India, HSC exam or 12th exam or inter exam is conducted at the national level by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), at the state level by the state boards of education and National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). CBSE conducts this once a year; NIOS conducts this twice a year in public examinations with an option of on-demand examinations.
