PNR Full Form
The Full form of PNR is Passenger Name Record. A passenger name record (PNR) is a record in the database of a computer reservation system (CRS) in the railway, airline and travel industries that consists of the personal information of a passenger and also contains the itinerary for the passenger, or a group of passengers travelling together. It contains passenger’s personal records like name, phone number, address etc. that are going to travel with them. PNR number with respect to Indian railways ticket is a 10 digit number, which is a combination of 3 and 7 digits. A typical PNR number is like: 256-4523851. PNR number is also helpful for railways journey as it provides the facilities of inquiry, status of train, find seat in train etc. To have cashless and digitalized economy, passenger name record (PNR) is used by the Indian government and it also help to curb black money and eradicate corruption.
