JPEG Full Form
The Full form of JPEG is Joint Photographic Experts Group. JPEG is a standard method of compressing graphic images. It is used most often with its file name extension .jpg or .jpeg. It is generally used to compress digital images and it is a lossy compression technique because some information is lost while compression. With the loss of some information, it can reduce up to 5% of the actual size. Because of its great compression technique, JPEG is mostly used to send photographs on the internet. It supports a maximum image size of 65535 x 65535 pixels. JPEG file format is supported on the World Wide Web with the file suffix “.jpg”. It is also used as a term for any graphic image file created by using a JPEG standard.
