AIDS Full Form

The Full form of AIDS is Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. The abbreviated word AIDS can be explained as; Acquired means that you can get infected with it, Immune Deficiency specifies the weakness of body’s immune system and Syndrome is group symptoms that make up a disease. AIDS is caused by a virus called the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and if a person gets infected with HIV, his body will try to fight the infection. It will make “antibodies,” special immune molecules the body makes to fight HIV. AIDS is also known as HIV which means Human Immunodeficiency Virus that belongs to retrovirus. AIDS is a disease which completely makes are immune system inactive and hence the patient suffers death due to lack of immunity. AIDS is a disease which may progress for a long period of time without any symptoms and as the infection progresses, it interferes more and more with the immune system and makes the infected person too weak and thus susceptible to common infections like Tuberculosis, tumors, asthma, etc. Aids can be transmitted from person to person in many ways like; by having unprotected intercourse with an infected person, by Blood transfusion, from mother to a child (By birth), it can also be spread by breastfeeding, through oral sex, in some cases it can possible by deep kissing, by the use of hypodermic needles, artificial insemination with denoted semen infected with HIV, etc.
