Diploma in Medical Radio Diagnosis

 

The Full form of DMRD is Diploma in Medical Radio Diagnosis. DMRD is a 2-year diploma course that can be pursued after graduation by medical aspirants in India. The course imparts in-depth knowledge of Radiology which is a division of medicine. Radiology uses imaging techniques such as X-rays, MRI and CT scan. These tests are conducted to diagnose ailments or diseases in a patient for treating. This is a specialty of medical field and is growing rapidly. Interested aspirants for DMRD must have completed graduation in MBBS with a good score. Many reputed colleges of India conduct entrance tests for admission in this course, some of them are; NEET PG (conducted by NBE), NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) and NBE (National Board of Examination). State level examinations are also conducted by some institutes in India for admission to the course which are; AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research), PGI (Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research). The students after successful completion of DMRD course can go on to become X-ray Technicians and can join various multi-specialty hospitals. These students can also join Pediatric and Maternity Centers for conducting X-rays, MRI and CT scans in patients.
