Central Police Organization

 

The Full form of CPO is Central Police Organization. CPO is also known as SSC CPO, as the exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of candidates for the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) of Police. It is conducted to recruit Sub-Inspector for various organizations like CRPF, ITBI, BSI, Delhi Police, etc. at National Level. After the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, the salary structure has been upgraded of various government positions.

 

The CPO Exam is conducted in different stages which includes; Paper I, Paper II and Physical Endurance Test. Paper I consists of a written exam of 200 marks with duration of two hours. The subjects covered in this paper include Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge & General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and English Comprehension. Paper-II is also a 2-hour written exam of 200 marks. The subject included in this exam is English Language and Comprehension. After passing both of the written exams, the candidates are qualified for a physical endurance test.

 

The difficulty level in this test is different for male and female candidates as per their physical abilities. The candidates applying for the exam must be citizens of India and must hold a graduate degree in any stream from a recognized University in India.
