CBSE Full Form

The Full form of CBSE is Central Board of Secondary Education. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools. It is one of the leading boards in public and private schools which is controlled and managed by Union Government of India.

CBSE is headquartered in New Delhi, apart from that; there are other regional offices in Delhi, Guwahati, Allahabad, Ajmer, Chennai, Panchkula etc. As of July 2017, Rakesh Kumar Chaturvedi is the chairman of CBSE. He is a Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer of 1987 batch. Established on 3 November, 1962, CBSE is affiliated with all Kendriya Vidyalayas, all Javahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, private schools and most of the schools approved by the Central Government of India.

Every year, the Central Board of Secondary Education conducts final examination for class 10th and 12th students. It also conducts AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) every year. It is a competitive examination for admission into various undergraduate courses in engineering and architecture in all India level.

CBSE conducts Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) and National Eligibility Test (NET) every year. National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted for the selection of professors at colleges and universities and Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is for the selection of school teachers.
