It was incorporated on 1st October 2000 by Government of India and it is headquartered in New Delhi, India. It provides voice call and internet services through its nationwide telecommunications network across the country. With more than half of the market share of the country, it is the largest wire-line telecommunications company and 4th largest wireless telecommunications Operator in India.
It is one of the largest providers of landline and broadband services in India and offers services in telecommunication in 3 different categories: Landline, Mobile, and Broadband. The company provides GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) mobile services under the brand name “Cellone“, and fixed broadband services under the brand name “Dataone“. BSNL is also one of the oldest telecommunications network company in India and has its reach from urban to even rural areas of India.
It has more than 120.42 million consumers across India. BSNL Mobile offers postpaid, prepaid services and VAS (Value-added Services) such as India Telephone Card (Prepaid card), Free Phone Service (FPH), Virtual Private Network (VPN), Account Card Calling (ACC), Premium Rate Service (PRM), and Tele-voting. The company also offers IPTV which enables consumers to watch television through the Internet and VVoIP (Voice and Video Over Internet Protocol).
