The Full form of ADIDAS is Adolf “Adi” Dassler. It is an abbreviation of Adolf “Adi” Dassler who is the founder of ADIDAS. It is a Multinational Corporation (MNC) that designs and manufactures premium and high quality sports shoes, sports apparels, and other sports gear equipments and accessories. The company also manufactures other products like watches, bags, and eye gear. The company has its headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany.

It also possesses and owns other business corporations which are TaylorMade, Reebok, and Rockport. It is the largest manufacturer of sportswear in Europe, and the 2nd largest in the world, after Nike. The revenue of ADIDAS for 2018 was listed at €21.915 billion. The logo of ADIDAS is 3 stripes in increased order, which is used on the company’s shoe and clothing designs as a marketing aid. The branding was bought by ADIDAS from Finnish sports company Karhu Sports in 1952 which became so successful that Dassler described ADIDAS as “The three stripes company”. Adolf Adi Dassler made his 1st shoe in 1920 at the age of 20.

After that, he made special shoes in his workshop for the athletes in 1928 who participated at 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam. In the mid-1930s with a workforce of around 100 employees, he made 30 different shoes for 11 different sports.
