UPSC aspirants are demanding compensatory attempts for prelims held between 2011 and 2015 in lieu of discrepancies between English and Hindi exams, particularly the CSAT pattern.

Aspirants claim to have suffered on this account and want the chance to make up in the coming three years. They are protesting in form of hunger strike to be able to get a chance to make up for exams which were not administered properly but are not being treated amicably by the authorities. They claimed that protesters were manhandled by the police. Aspirants from across the country are protesting against the Centre’s refusal to allow them to reappear for the examination after the CSAT exam was made the qualifying test.
