NTA announces exam dates for UGC NET December 2023 cycle
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the exam dates for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2023 cycle. As per the notification, the UGC NET December 2023 cycle exam will be conducted from December 6 to December 22, 2023. NTA will be releasing UGC NET December 2023 Information Brochure with complete details on exam pattern, curriculum and other soon on the official website www.nta.ac.in or ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
This year the UGC NET June 2023 exam was held in two phases – from June 13 to 17 and from June 19 to 22, 2023 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The entrance exam was held for 83 subjects in 181 cities across the country.
The UGC NET examination is conducted twice every year in June & December to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges depending on the aggregate performance of the candidates in Paper-I and Paper-II of UGC-NET.
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (50% marks for Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to Non-Creamy Layer/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with Disability (PwD)/Third gender category candidates) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities and Social Science (including languages), Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test.
