Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the Union Human Resource Development minister, informed via his social media handle that once the lockdown is lifted, the Ministry would decide to conduct the CBSE Board exams of Classes 10 and 12 that were affected due to mass lockdown enforced all over the country amidst COVID- 19 outbreak. He also addressed several other similar academic queries.
“As soon as the national lockdown will be lifted and the situation returns to the normalcy, the government will announce the schedule for holding the CBSE examination in the country,” Minister Pokhriyal said while answering a question asked by one of the twitter users.
The officials from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had earlier made this announcement that it would be holding the left Board exams only for 29 selected subjects which are important in order to get promoted or to get admission into the higher educational institutes for the Bachelor courses.
Earlier, the Board had announced that it will not be conducting the remaining Class 10 and 12 Board exams in the foreign lands owing to Corona virus pandemic scare.
The Minister further stated that the parents of such students should not force their wards to study throughout the day and they should be allowed to study with a relaxed and free mind. Parents should make sure that these students are ready to take the exams whenever the new dates are announced. The Board will soon start evaluating those papers whose exams have already taken place before lockdown was enforced.
