National Testing Agency arrange alternative to avoid JEE Main dates clash with CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021

As the exam dates of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 board exam 2021 and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main  May exam dates, National Testing Agency has arranged an alternative to avoid the date clash. 

 The JEE Main exam is scheduled to be held on May 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 and the CBSE 12 Board Biology exam is also scheduled to be held on  May 24, 2021. Aspirants who will be writing their CBSE board examinations on the day the JEE (Main) is being held will be given the exam date of their preference.

NTA has asked the students to provide their Class 12th roll number and name of the board while filling the application form for JEE Main for May session. NTA will open the application form of JEE (Main) 2021 for the May session from May 3 to 12, 2021.

“Keeping in mind that the dates of JEE Main and Class 12 board exams do not clash with each other, applications will be accepted from students from May 3. Its last date is May 12. The students will have to provide their Class 12th roll number and name of the board to the NTA while filling the form,” senior examination director of NTA, Sadhana Parashar, said in a notice

The notice further reads, “The candidates appearing for the Class 12 Board examination as well as JEE (Main) will be required to provide information under “Whether appearing for Board Examination on any of the dates 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th May 2021” and select the ‘Date of their Class 12 Board Examination’ in their online Application Form so that there is no clash of their schedule of JEE (Main) with Class 12 Board Examination.”

This year, JEE Main examinations will be conducted in four sessions – February, March, April and May. As per the schedule, the first session of the JEE Main Examination is to be held between February 23 and 26, 2021.
