New MBBS Curriculum introduced from 2019-20 session
New MBBS Curriculum: With the newly appointed Board of Governors of the Medical Council of India, the new MBBS Curriculum has been introduced. According to the new curriculum, the undergraduate medical students will now study a course on ethics and communication from 2019-20 academic year.

According to report, the Board of Governors of Medical Council has also approved a proposal keeping in mind the shortage of medical faculty in the country to relax norms for DNB (Diplomate of National Board) degree holders to teach in hospitals like PGI, AIIMS, and other state medical colleges,
As per the proposal, DNB degree holders working in specialties with over 100 beds and super-specialties private hospitals with one year as senior residency at any MCI recognized institution will be eligible for faculty positions.
