LSAC postponed Law School Admission Test (LSAT) India 2021 to avoid clash with CBSE Board exams
The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) has announced the postponement of Law School Admission Test (LSAT) 2021 India. LSAT India 2021 will now be held from June 14, 2021 in remote proctored mode. The examination was originally scheduled to be held on May 10, 2021.
The decision to postpone the exam has been taken to provide candidates who have registered for the CBSE Class 12 exams in May, with adequate preparation time.
The notification released by the council reads “To ensure fairness for students who have registered for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 12 examinations in May, the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) has announced to reschedule the LSAT—India 2021 in wake of the board exams being deferred.”
The council has also extended the deadline to apply for the LSAT 2021 to June 4, 2021. Earlier the last date to apply was April 20, 2021.
The exam organizers have also given an option for the candidates who want to appear for the LSAT 2021 exam before the start of CBSE Board Exams. Such candidates can appear for LSAT 2021 in March. The Registration process for LSAT 2021 March exam will begin from February 3 and will end on March 14, 2021. The aspirant can also re-test in June and have their best score reported for their preferred college for admissions.
As per the notification, students who will register prior to 12 February will be eligible for the special early-bird price of Rs 3,499 per test for the March or June. For those who register after 12 February, they will have to pay the standard fee of Rs 3,799 for one session. Students, who will register after 12 February and wish to sit for both tests, will have to pay Rs 7,300.
