Exam date for JEE Main 2021 April and May Session announced by NTA
The National Testing Agency has announced the exam dates for remaining two sessions (April and May) of the JEE Main 2021. As per the notification released on the official website, JEE Main 2021 April session exam will be held from July 20, 2021 to July 25, 2021 and the May session will be held from July 27, 2021 to August 2, 2021.
The NTA has also decided to re-open the online application window for JEE Main 2021 after receiving numerous representations from the candidates. The online application window for the April session will be open from July 6 to 8, 2021 (up to 9:00 pm) and application fee can be paid till July 8, 2021 up to 11:50 pm. The online application window for May session will be open from July 9 to 12, 2021(up to 9:00 pm) and application fee can be paid till July 12, 2021 up to 11:50 pm.
Candidates who have applied earlier for April/May session can modify their particulars (Session, Category, subject, Examination centre, Examination City, etc) during the period from July 6 to 8 for April session and July 9 to 12 for May session. A candidate can also withdraw from postponed April/May sessions by following the procedure details in the application form.
In order to address the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, NTA has increased the number of cities from 232 to 334. The number of examination centres in every shift has also been increased from 660 to 828.
The total number of candidates who have already registered earlier for the April session is 6.80 lakh and for the May session is 6.09 lakh.
