IGNOU launches MA in Sanskrit through Open and Distance learning mode

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched a Master’s program in Sanskrit  (MA Sanskrit) through open and distance learning mode for the July 2020 Session.. Students interested to pursue Master’s in Sanskrit from IGNOU register for admission at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. 

The MA in Sanskrit program has been designed and developed with the academic consultation and support of distinguished scholars in different disciplines of Sanskrit. The students from any discipline at graduation level are eligible for admission with the flexibility of doing it through ODL Mode.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the program was launched via webinar through Google meet and broadcast live on the Facebook page of the varsity due to COVID-19 Pandemic. 

The launch was attended by eminent scholars in the field of Sanskrit language and literature from across the country. They all appreciated the IGNOU’s initiative in promoting the Sanskrit language. 

Recently, the varsity launched a podcast series of lectures for the students to help them learn while listening. Due to the pandemic, several other facilities offered by the IGNOU have been digitized.
