IGNOU newly launched academic course for January 2019 cycle – The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced admission to various courses offered by the University for the academic session commencing from January 2019. IGNOU has launched a new academic course for January 2019 cycle. From this year onwards IGNOU has offered Bachelor’s in Commerce (B.Com) with major in Finance and Cost Accounting for its undergraduate program. IGNOU B.Com with majors in Finance and Cost Accounting course
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) with Major in Financial and Cost Accounting is designed and developed in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Cost and Works and Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI). The main objective of this program is to develop skills and competencies of the student in the field of Finance and Cost Accounting. Students can simultaneously study B.Com with Major in Financial and Cost Accounting programme with ICAI Foundation/ Intermediate courses offered By ICAI.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 can apply for this course. They will also be required to register with the ICAI foundation course. Applicants who have already cleared the ICAI’S intermediate course are will be eligible for admission directly.
The course fee is Rs 7,200/- for 3 years. The duration of the program is minimum 3 years and maximum of 6 years with provision for readmission after the completion of maximum duration.
