The Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) has replaced the Combined Entrance Examination for Biotechnology (CEEB) conducted by JNU from the academic year 2020. JNU CEEB was conducted for admission to PG Programs in Biotechnology. GAT-B will be conducted by the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) on behalf of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

Based on the performance in this examination, an all India category-wise merit list with GAT B Rank will be generated. Candidates based on GAT-B rank can apply for various DBT supported PG Programs (M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Sc. Agricultural Biotechnology, M.V.Sc., M.Tech. Biotechnology and M.Sc. in allied areas) in participating Institutions.

More than 50 institutes are participating in the selection process. The total numbers of seats available are 1221 in 62 courses. The participating institutions will advertise and admit students as per their admission and selection process.
