Exam Date for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 announced
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur on Thursday has announced the exam date for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023. As per the notification, the GATE 2023 exam will be held 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th, February 2023. The online application window for the registration will be opened in the first week of September 2022
IIT Kanpur has not yet launched GATE 2023 official website.
Two new papers – Geomatics Engineering (GE) and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NM) were introduced by IIT Kharagpur for the GATE 2022 Exam. The Examination was conducted for 29 Subjects. The eligibility criteria of GATE 2022 was also expanded. Candidates with B.Des and M.Pharm degrees were allowed to appear for the exam.
GATE exam is held by IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore on a rotational basis for admission to the M.Tech courses across all government & private engineering colleges, including IITs, NITs, CFTIs. Many PSUs also consider the GATE score for recruitment.
The entrance exam is held through computer-based mode for a duration of 180 minutes.
