Exam Dates for Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B) and Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2023 postponed
GAT-B and BET 2023 exam postponed – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the notice to inform about the postponement of the exam dates for the Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B) and Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2023. As per the notice on the official website, the exam which was earlier scheduled to be held on April 23, 2023 will now be held on May 13, 2023. Candidates can check the exam date notice at the official website dbt.nta.ac.in.
The official notice reads, “In consultation with Regional Centre for Biotechnology, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has rescheduled the Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B) / Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) for 13 May 2023.”
The notice also mentioned “the dates of downloading of City Intimation Slip and Admit Cards indicating Roll Number and Centre of Examination will be displayed shortly before the conduct of examination.”
The exam will be a computer-based test for a duration of 3 hours each. The GAT-B paper will be held from 9.00 AM to 12 noon and the BET paper will be from 3.00 PM to 6.00 PM. GAT B will have 160 questions and candidates will have to attempt 120 questions. The total marks for GAT B is 240. BET will have 200 questions and candidates will have to attempt 100 questions. The total marks for BET is 300.
The GAT-B is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to the Department of Biotechnology supported Post Graduate Program in Biotechnology and allied areas in participating Institutions and BET is conducted for award of DBT – Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology.
