Registration deadline for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)extended

 

CTET 2024 Registration – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the registration deadline for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 January Examination. As per the notification released on the official website, candidates can now apply for CTET 2024 January exam till November 27, 2023. Initially the application deadline for CTET 2024 was November 23. Candidates who are interested and have not yet applied can visit the official website – ctet.nic.in to apply for the exam. 

General or OBC NCL category candidates are required to pay Rs. 1,000 for one paper and Rs.1,200 if they take both papers as the examination fee. For SC, ST candidates and differently abled persons, the fee is Rs. 500 for one paper and Rs. 600 for two papers. 

The Central Board of Secondary Education will be conducting the 18th edition of CTET in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode on January 21, 2023. The test will be conducted in 20 languages.  The exam is held for two papers – Paper I is for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes 1 to 5 and Paper II is for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes 6 to 8. 

 

Steps to Apply for CTET 2021 

  • STEP 1: Log on to CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in
  • STEP 2: Click on the link which reads, “Apply for CTET January 2024.”
  • STEP 3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No.
  • STEP 4: Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature
  • STEP 5: Pay Examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card and net banking
  • STEP 6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.

CBSE has identified 135 cities where exam centres of CTET will be located. The exam will be conducted online in computer-based test mode (CBT) in two shifts, each lasting 2.5 hours. The first shift will be from 9:30 am to 12 pm, and the second from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.
