CBSE Postponed Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2020 July Exam
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification on its official website, ctet.nic.in to inform about the postponement of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2020 scheduled for July 5, 2020. As per the notification, new exam dates for CTET 2020 will be announced when the conditions are more conducive for conducting the examination.
The move comes hours after the board announced cancellation of Pending Class 10, 12 Board exams scheduled for July as well.
CTET is conducted twice a year for the candidates aspiring to become teachers of Classes 1-8 in the central government schools like KVS, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, etc. The CTET exam consists of two papers. Paper I is for those interested in teaching classes 1 to 5 whereas Paper-II is for those who wish to teach classes 6 to 8. In case an applicant wants to teach both levels, they have to appear in both Paper I and Paper II.
The board has also suggested candidates to keep visiting the official website of the exam (ctet.nic.in) for regular updates related to the exam.
