Exam Date of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) rescheduled

The Consortium of National Law Universities has rescheduled the examination date of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021. As per the notification, CLAT 2021 will now be conducted on June 13, 2021 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Earlier the examination was scheduled for May 9, 2021. The change in the exam date has been made to avoid a clash with CBSE Board Exams 2021. As per the 

The official notice reads, “The rescheduling was considered because the date was clashing with the CBSE exams schedule which was announced last week.” 

CLAT is a national level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law program offered at 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) 

The process of registration for the same started on January 1, 2021 and will conclude on March 31, 2021. Interested candidates can visit the official site: consortiumofnlus.ac.in to apply for the examination

Meanwhile, the Consortium of National Law Universities has also revised the examination pattern for the CLAT 2021 for postgraduate level. The subjective section (Essay writing) which was removed last year due to COVID-19 pandemic has been reintroduced by the exam authority. This year CLAT PG 2021 exam will again consist of two sections i.e. objective and subjective sections. There is no change in exam patterns and syllabus of UG-CLAT 2021.
