Exam date for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2020 released by CBSE

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the exam date for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2020 on November 4, 2020. As per the notification, CBSE will be conducting the CTET 2020 Exam on January 31, 2021. The examination was earlier scheduled to be conducted on July 5, 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The examination will be conducted in 135 cities across the country, as per the official notice. The number of centres has been increased to maintain social distancing and other safety measures issued by the Health Ministry for exams.

The new exam cities added are Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Begusarai, Gopalganj, Purnia, Rohtas, Saharsa, Saran, Bhilai/ Durg, Bilaspur, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Ludhiana, Ambedkar Nagar, Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Deoria, Gonda, Mainpuri, Pratapgarh, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur and Udham Singh Nagar.

According to notice, candidates who want to change their examination city can make online corrections from November 7 to November 16, 2020, up to 11.59 pm. The Board has taken this decision in view of the difficulty faced by candidates due to COVID19 across the nation.

CTET 2020 exam is conducted for two papers. Paper I is for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V and Paper-II is for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) can appear in both Paper I and Paper II.
