The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a circular for special provision for the students of Class 10 and 12 who excel in the sports and represent India in the International sports event. As per the circular, board has made a provision to conducts the exams for such students at the later date if their board exams clash with their participation in any international sports event that is recognized by sports Authority of India and the students participates as a representative of India.

In the last board exams held in March -April 2018, this facilitation was extended to 9 students. But from this year (2019), board has decided to facilitation heron to all such students whose CBSE Board exams clash with their participation in any international sports event recognized by Sports authority of India. For such students board will conduct the exam at a later stage, on a date mutually convenient to the student and the board.

 

The board has created this provision to ensure that such student do not miss out on either of them.

 

According to the circular issued by the board, students who wish to avail the concession have to make a request to the board in writing through their schools along with the recommendation of the Sports Authority of India informing of their participation in any international event on the date of examination or near the date of examination. Board has asked the schools to communicate such cases to the concerned Regional office of the CBSE latest by January 31st 2019.
