CBSE to conduct Class 10, 12 Term 1 Board Exams in November

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced to conduct the first of the two-part CBSE board exams for Class 10 and 12 in mid-November 2021.  The board had earlier announced to divide the board exams for class 10 and class 12 into two parts, i.e. Term 1 and Term 2. The date sheet for Term 1 Board exam is expected to be released by mid-October 2021. 

As per the CBSE announcement earlier, Term 1 will be an objective type exam for the duration of 90 minutes while the Term 2 exam will be a subjective type including practical exams. The duration of the Term 2 exam will be 2 hours. The Term 2 exams will be conducted between March and April, 2022. The final score of the students would be calculated on the basis of her/his performance in both terms.

The CBSE has also reduced the syllabus for 2021-22 academic session. The Board will conduct examinations at the end of each term on the basis of the bifurcated syllabus. Both Term 1 and Term 2 will be having 50% of the syllabus.

Recently, CBSE had also asked respective schools and heads of the educational institutions to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) who will be appearing for the CBSE 10th 12th 2022 Term 1 Examination. The last date for the online submission process of LOC of students is September 30, 2021. The board has also clarified that there will be no window for correction in the uploaded data of the students for the current year. So, the schools must upload the data of the candidates responsibly without any error.
