Keeping in view of the outbreak of Covid-19, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed all board exams for classes 10 and 12 in India and abroad scheduled from 19 to 31 March. 

 

 

CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi said, “All ongoing CBSE examinations in India and abroad postponed and will be rescheduled thereafter… after an assessment of the situation,”

Even the ongoing evaluation of board exam papers has also been postponed. Supervisors are directed to reschedule the evaluation to April 1 onwards, unless otherwise informed by the board.

As per the Notice, CBSE will reassess the situation and communicate fresh dates for exams by March 31.

CBSE has made this announcement after a directive from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) which directed boards and all educational institutions in the country to postpone exams till March 31.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has also postponed the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations 2020 till March 31.

The board has instructed the head of the ICSE Schools to inform all the concerns about it. As per the CISCE press release, the revised date for remaining papers will be notified in due course of time.

The National Testing Agency has also postponed the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2020 April Exam till further notice. As per the senior NTA Official, the new date will be decided in accordance with the board exams schedule and other competitive exams to ensure there is no clash
